Every few years, Arkansas quietly sends another reminder that some of the best country music is being made far outside the Nashville machine. Abbey Pierce is the latest example, and her debut album Don’t Call Me Darlin’ feels like a statement that arrived right on time. Today, the four-time GRAMMY Award winner officially released HIGH AND A(LIVE), his first full-length live album, and it captures exactly why his concerts hit the way they do.  Yesterday videos went around where people screen-recorded country sensation Jake Owen as he had an emotional « crash out » on his Instagram story. What followed was the most love-filled outpouring of fan and peer support, in the comments and through linked videos. Jake has since shared a statement addressing his outburst, which iHeart Country has covered extensively here.  |
