Barcelona Bluegrass Camp – fĂ©vrier 2019

Le Barcelona Bluegrass Camp revient les 22 & 23 février 2019, et plusieurs ateliers banjo sont proposés. Jake Schepps , Lluís Gómez et David Prat seront les professeurs de banjo.

Stage de banjo en Belgique (avril 2019)

Les inscriptions pour le 34e Stage International de Musique Acoustique de Virton sont ouvertes. Cette année encore, et pour le plaisir de tous, Lluís Gómez sera le professeur de banjo.

Ateliers instrumentaux et vocaux, atelier rythme, ateliers interclasses, concerts et jam sessions. Une semaine d’immersion musicale (du 8 au 13.04.2019) auprĂšs d’excellents musiciens et professeurs, dans une ambiance Ă  la fois studieuse et festive.

Coup de cƓur pour un luthier espagnol -David Prat

Jean-Marie Redon a eu l’immense plaisir de faire remettre Ă  neuf un trĂšs vieux banjo oldtime (19e siĂšcle) par David Prat. Ce fut l’occasion de rencontrer de ce talentueux luthier espagnol et de dĂ©couvrir ses magnifiques instruments.

David a commencĂ© Ă  fabriquer des instruments en 1995. Les deux premiers Ă©taient des Mountain Dulcimers, puis il a fait des ukulĂ©lĂ©s, des banjos-mandolines. Autodidacte, il a parfait son savoir-faire en voyageant aux États-Unis et en y rencontrant des luthiers. En 2008, il a commencĂ© Ă  commercialiser ses instruments sous le nom Prat Instruments. Il fait principalement des banjos oldtime, des banjos bluegrass, des banjos tĂ©nor, des dulcimers, des banjolĂ©lĂ©s.

Son but est de fabriquer des instruments Ă  l’ancienne et qui soient abordables, qui soient beaux et qui sonnent bien. David est lui-mĂȘme musicien et joue du banjo oldtime et du dulcimer.

La plupart de ses clients sont des musiciens originaires du Royaume Uni, du Nord de l’Europe et des États-Unis. Quelques professionnels qui jouent un Prat Instrument: Brad Leftwich, Joel Bruna (Dead Bronco), Jacobo ( LA MODA), Davis McLaughlin ( Johnson Mountain Boys), Seppo SillanpÀÀ.

Stage de Banjo 5 cordes – Bluegrass & Old-Time – 2-3 mars 2018

C’est la 3e annĂ©e que l’association AL RAS BLUEGRASS AND OLD TIME MUSIC organise un stage de musique sur un weekend Ă  Barcelone, le Barcelona Bluegrass Camp. De nombreux ateliers sont proposĂ©s et tous les niveaux sont acceptĂ©s. Deux classes de banjo pour les banjoĂŻstes!
