Nouvelle méthode de banjo par Jean-Christophe Prou

Jean-Christophe Prou, référencé parmi dans la page « Professeurs de banjo », vient d’écrire une méthode de Banjo. Elle comporte 90 pages de conseils, d’exercices, d’exemples d’accompagnements sur un répertoire « original » (musiques enfantines) et un CD d’une heure avec toutes les tablatures mises en son et des bandes sonores pour s’accompagner. Conseils à l’usage des débutants comme des joueurs confirmés. Soli et accompagnements à l’attention du joueur avancé.

Il débute le banjo Bluegrass en 1983. Sa passion est d’adapter des morceaux classiques au banjo, dont il fait des vidéos pédagogiques:

Ralph Stanley (1927-2016)

Bluegrass banjo player and bandleader Ralph Stanley continued as a solo act after his brother and longtime musical partner Carter Stanley died in 1966. Though Ralph has played a primarily traditional repertoire, he has also written his own songs. Courtesy National Council for the Traditional Arts

Bluegrass et musique classique à la Cité de la Musique (Paris) – 11 juin 2016

Le 11 juin 2016, nous avons l’honneur et le plaisir de faire partie des invités du violoniste virtuose Gilles Apap et de l’orchestre Pasdeloup pour un évènement exceptionnel organisé à la Philharmonie de Paris (Cité de la Musique à la Villette-Paris). Après avoir déjà joué avec Gilles et l’orchestre Pasdeloup au Théâtre du Châtelet et à la salle Gaveau, Thierry Lecocq, Jean-Marie Redon et Sharon Lombardi se réjouissent de collaborer à nouveau avec eux.
