Un stage de banjo animé par Jean-Marie Redon sera proposé à l’occasion de la deuxième édition du festival espagnol de bluegrass Nofugrass Fest. Il aura lieu à Nofuentes et sera suivi de jam sessions ouvertes à tous dans les divers bars du village.
Date et horaire : Samedi 28 juillet 2018 de 10.00 à 13.00.
Lieu: Hotel Rural La VENTILLA (Nofuentes – Espagne)
Tarif: 50 euros par personne.
Les inscriptions doivent être confirmées et payées avant le 30 juin 2018.
Si le minimum d’inscrits n’est pas atteint, le stage sera annulé et les stagiaires seront intégralement remboursés.
Cette année, Jean Marie Redon & Sharon Lombardi animeront un stage de chant en harmonie lors du Barcelona Bluegrass Camp.
C’est la 3e année que l’association AL RAS BLUEGRASS AND OLD TIME MUSIC organise un stage de musique sur un weekend à Barcelone. De nombreux ateliers sont proposés et tous les niveaux sont acceptés.

En 2015, Gérard DE SMAELE a publié un riche ouvrage en français permettant de comprendre l’histoire du banjo 5 cordes, BANJO ATTITUDES -Le banjo à cinq cordes : son histoire générale, sa documentation.
Cette année, il propose A Five-String Banjo Sourcebook, une œuvre complémentaire en anglais, qui présente avec exhaustivité les ressources de documentation ayant trait au banjo (livres, enregistrements, films, banjoïstes, luthiers, etc.) Cette compilation est incontournable pour quiconque s’intéresse vraiment à cet instrument fascinant.

« The American 5-string banjo is many things: a physical object of material culture with roots back to Africa and farther east, and a complex and ongoing development in North America; an equally complex musical culture ranging through vernacular, classical, and popular musical idioms and histories; and connections to social, cultural, and artistic networks.
