Jimmy Buffett, chanteur et auteur-compositeur, est devenu une légende populaire aux USA. Il a enregistré plus de 40 albums, dont la plupart ont été disques d’or ou de platine. Cheeseburger in Paradise, Come Mondayou encore Son of A Son Of A Sailor font partis de ses plus grands succès. Ses tournées aux Etats-Unis constituent un rite estival annuel pour sa légion de fans.
Jimmy retournera très prochainement en studio pour enregistrer un nouvel album, provisoirement intitulé Songs From St Somewhere. Kevin Costner & Modern West à La Cigale à Paris le 15 septembre 2011 à 20h00.Quand Kevin Costner fait une infidélité au cinéma… c’est pour la musique ! Modern West … Non, ce n’est pas le dernier rôle accepté par l’acteur des films à succès Danse avec les Loups, The Bodyguard, Robin des Bois, JFK ou encore Les Incorruptibles, mais bien le nom de scène du groupe de Kevin Costner. Ensemble, ils sillonnent l’Ouest Américain depuis déjà quelques années.
Une reconversion réussie avec la sortie en mars 2009 de leur premier album Untold Truths, aux sonorités country rock avec des accents de soft rock californien.
Six des douze titres du CD ont été coécrits par Kevin Costner et l’un des guitaristes du groupe. Il explique : Au cinéma, je joue celui qu’on me demande d’incarner. Mais le vrai moi s’exprime sur scène quand je joue et chante devant un public. C’est là que vous verrez le plus clairement qui je suis.
