Le restaurant Le Chai de St-Cyprien (24) invite Acousic4 de 10h30 à 13:30, le dimanche 24 juillet 2016. St-Cyprien est un charmant petit village du Périgord Noir, avec un superbe marché le dimanche matin. Une bonne occasion d’y flâner avant d’aller se restaurer en musique au Chai, qui propose une cuisine périgordine et provençale, riche et savoureuse.
Qui sont Acoustic4? Originaires de Blaye, Laurence (chant lead, guitare, harmonica, flûte) et Christian Verdier (guitare, banjo, dobro, mandoline, chœurs) ont fondé en 2006 Acoustic4, groupe aux influences blues, rock, folk et bluegrass. Après avoir donné de multiples concerts dans le Sud-Ouest, ils ont sorti leur premier album en 2012. Laurence et Christian ont rencontré Jean-Marie Redon (banjo, guitare, chant) et Sharon Lombardi (basse, chant) lors du festival de musique acoustique Cita’Delta organisé par la ville de Blaye. A l’issue d’une jam endiablée, leurs affinités musicales communes leur ont donné envie de monter un répertoire commun. Venez les découvrir!

Guitariste de formation, Kadjo a comme beaucoup, découvert le banjo par le cinéma. Mais c’est le magnifique film d’ Arthur Penn, Bonnie & Clyde, de 1967, qui lui a fait découvrir le bluegrass et cet instrument jubilatoire, et non comme souvent cité, le film Délivrance de John Boorman, qui fut néanmoins la confirmation de sa passion.
Fort de son amour du blues, du rock et du bluegrass, il a développé sa musique autour de cet instrument, ses compos mélant tous ces genres, et son banjo servant de passerelle.
Après de nombreuses recherches, il a réussi à trouver un moyen de jouer du banjo sur un ampli avec distorsion, afin de suivre en intensité ses compères musiciens, qui à la batterie, à la basse, et à la guitare électrique avaient tendance à être beaucoup plus fort que lui.
Plusieurs cellules (un fishman pour le grain, et un humbucker pour la puissance) ont été installées dans des endroits stratégiques de son Banjo « Quincampoix ».

Jacquy a plongé très tôt dans l’univers de Christian Death, Virgin Prunes ou encore Alien Sex Fiend. 20 ans après leur split, le groupe est encore culte dans le milieu musical et reconnu internationalement.
Le groupe de hard rock Gut Scrappers en tournée, passe par Port-Barcarès avant de se produire dans le Gard le lendemain.
