Amateurs de guitares et de banjos, ne manquez pas l’exposition organisée par la ville de Sarlat (24) du 23 au 25 mai 2014. Plusieurs rendez-vous vous sont proposés:

– exposition de guitares vintage et de banjos à l’Ancien Evêché, agrémentée de quelques jams

– concerts (Cathédrale St Sacerdoce, salle Paul Eluard) :

* Trio Dintrich,
* Henri Padovani,  Solorazaf Indratako,
* Gérard Cresson et Jean-Marie Redon, and Friends, dont les chanteurs américains Sharon Cort (Nashville) et James Field, Sharon Lombardi, Gérard Mosiniak

Georges Hamel, le «Gentleman de la Country» enchantera nos vies définitivement

Georges HamelGeorges Hamel†, emporté par un cancer de la moelle osseuse, s’est éteint le 26 février 2014, à l’âge de 66 ans. Malgré les souffrances que l’on imagine, Georges acceptait encore des entretiens à quelques jours de sa mort afin de parler de son dernier album Une Fleur pour Vous.

Georges Hamel y interprète merveilleusement de grands succès en duo avec  Renée Martel, Laurence Jalbert, Annie Blanchard, Brigitte Boisjoli, Marie Denise Pelletier, Paolo Noël, Pierre Arseno, Cayouche, Julie Daraîche, Amélie Hall, Marie-Chantal Cartier, Chantal Cliche et Michel Louvain.

Originaire de Sainte-Françoise-de-Lotbinière, dans le Centre-du-Québec, George Hamel a été élevé au sein d’une famille de cultivateurs comptant 18 enfants.

Natif de Sainte-Françoise-de-Lotbinière, Georges Hamel laisse 44 albums en 40 années. Georges Hamel a remporté quatre Prix Félix.

Les funérailles du chanteur et musicien Georges Hamel ont été célébrées samedi 1er mars 2014, après-midi en l’église Saint-Frédéric à Drummondville.
